5 reason why wordpress is better than blogger

1. Free CMS
Wordpress is a powerful open source CMS (content management system). You can use it on your own server space, with complete control of your blog’s content, design and operation by downloading the system free from Wordpress.org.
Most popular hosting space providers already have one-click Wordpress installs so you just have to choose the domain where you want to use Wordpress and you’re ready to go.
With Blogger/Blogspot, you either blog on their servers, or not at all. From a business point of view, what could be better than something you can own, and yet it’s free?

2. Free hosting option
If you’re just starting out in blogging and find domain names and hosting and nameservers very technical, Wordpress gives you the option to try out its ready-to-go free blog hosting service at Wordpress.com. Just register for free, choose your (blogname).wordpress.com and start blogging instantly.
Later, when you want to add more functionality and host the blog on your own server, you can always import all of your posts with one button on your self-hosted Wordpress blog. Blogger also lets you blog easily and for free on yourname.blogspot.com. But you get more features in the free Wordpress by default than you do in Blogger.
If you’re a business where the management wants to first see results and then invest in hosting, start blogging on Wordpress.com – and when it starts to make sense and you want more functionality, import your Wordpress.com blog to your own server space.

3. Web pages, not just blog posts
The most powerful feature for a beginner in Wordpress is the ability to create pages, as you would in a website. So, if you’re an advertising agency, you could use Wordpress to create a blog which has pages like – Credentials, Portfolio, Clients, Testimonials, Contact.
In Blogger, everything you write becomes a post, arranged chronologically in a scroll-down manner. So, either you post everything in diary-like fashion, or you try to use labels/categories to organise your blog.
The ability to create web pages by the click of a button in Wordpress has made it great a cross between a no-frills website maker and a blogging platform that’s intuitive. Wordpress is a hot favourite for internet marketers who use it to create sales pages and sales letter in minutes.

4. Tech and User Support
If you’re using Wordpress on your own server space, you have access to solid documentation for all your issues on Wordpress.org. There are regular updates for the CMS as well as for the plug-ins.
If you’re blogging on the free Wordpress.com service, you will find answers to your queries on the Wordpress.com forums. Plus, there are numerous sites dedicated to Wordpress blogging by Wordpress enthusiasts. You get both tech support and user support with Wordpress. Plus, for all visual support, there’s Wordpress.tv!
Blogger has more glitches in my personal experience than Wordpress and it’s harder to find the right answers quickly to fix Blogger issues. For example, so many times, Blogger keeps displaying options in Arabic with no button on the page to shift to English (just because my IP is from UAE I guess). When you’re blogging for business, you can’t just sit there praying for a miracle – that you start understanding a foreign language because the interface isn’t giving you an option to change it.

5. Free design templates
You have access to hundreds or free templates in with one click installs on Wordpress. This means you can change the entire look of your Wordpress blog/website in seconds without the need to even touch your existing content. It’s just like re-skinning your webpages.
There are hundreds of Wordpress theme developers who will create customised Wordpress themes to suit your brand for a fee. Just one quick search in the Blogger themes list will give a clear idea of how limited you are when it comes to template design in Blogspot.
Wordpress wins hands down with more than 800 free themes on Wordpress’ own directory with over 5,500,000 downloads.

1.Easy-to-use: Unless you’re one of the people who doesn’t “get computers,” if you’ve used Facebook, there’s a good chance you can use Artisteer. It might take a little support if you’re not sure how to export your theme into an actual Wordpress blog, but Artisteer seems to make that process as simple as possible.

2.Attention to detail: If you like the basic two-column design of most blogs, you’ll find this software will easily let you customize a large range of details and broad-spectrum ideas.

3.Professional-looking: It’s very easy to come up with a professional-looking site that is unique to your individual blog. Once you make decisions on the big things, the software will then build the rest of your options around those early decisions, making the design flow naturally.

4.Opportunity for creativity: Where is it? Though the software does a good job of allowing you to control a lot of details about your blog, there’s really no space left for outside-the-box design or adding some really freaky widgets. That’s fine if you don’t mind a basic template to serve your utilitarian blog, but the designers looking to push the envelope may not be able to here.

5. Edit Individual Comments From The Edit Post Section
Now there is the option to see any comments that have already been made below the post box at the bottom. You can do the usual things here such as delete, spam, and reply. As you can see I have been left a comment from a Viagra spammer !
